One of the Tangram’s most advantageous features is that the system flexibility allows you to change functionality simply by replacing or adding new hardware to match your needs.

MODULAR CONCEPT FOR MAXIMUM FLEXIBILITY

Combine the Tangram modules to create your own professional video headend solution. This is easily done, as the chassis can be equipped with 6+1 modules and comes with an integrated GigE Switch. Moreover, the switch can be operated as a configurable switching unit and in this way manage the modules for the redundancy mechanism.

MASSIVE POWER IN A SMALL FORMAT

The Tangram platform has been developed with high density in focus. This has resulted in a small footprint 1 RU chassis concept, which saves you both start-up and operating costs. In addition to this, the high-density Edge modules, the DVB Gateway with multi-tuner support and the low power consumption also reduce the costs per channel or transponder reception.

EASY MANAGEMENT AND CONTROL

The Tangram modules are configured and managed via WISI Control – the web UI – which is structured to simplify configuration and management. Each Tangram contains an embedded web server, and no proprietary control software is needed. To connect to the UI of a Tangram, simply start the browser on your computer and type the IP address of the Tangram in the address field.

Example of a traditional compact headend system for larger CATV networks in the LATAM region. Incoming signals are taken from terrestrial and satellite operators. A number of services are decrypted via CA modules. All 100 programs are output as QAM (J.83 Annex B) and in parallel 12 channels are output as analog NTSC.
